LaRose takes a beating on Issue 1, but wins points for dunking on Kari Lake

Issue 1 has now been and gone, folks.

As we wrote immediately before Election Day, “Republicans haven’t done enough to sell their own voters, let alone get Independents or Democrats to go along with them.  Neither of these bode well for supporters of Issue 1.” True enough, the result looks very lopsided: 57% to 43% in late returns.

Secretary of State LaRose will be saddened by those results, but on the plus side, at least he got a great opportunity to dunk on Kari Lake (thanks to Haley BeMiller for flagging).

LaRose’s #OHSen campaign has been sparring with Kari Lake’s team over her false claims of voter fraud in Cuyahoga Falls.
