Here’s how you know the “childless cat ladies” comment is hurting Vance bad

There’s been a lot of uproar about the uncovered JD Vance comments about “childless cat ladies” over the last few days.

However, this intro from former Rep. Trey Gowdy at Fox News has got to be the biggest signal yet that those comments are hurting Vance, and badly. (Yes, the account that tweeted this out is a Democratic account; just watch the video).

Remember as you watch this, Vance is a convert to Catholicism.

We suspect the Vance team thinks his comments are mostly “catnip” to the far-left, “I-won’t-have-kids-because-I-don’t-want-to-destroy-the-globe” feminize types. We suspect in reality those comments are going to hurt him a lot with people like those he grew up around– more moderate, pragmatic right-of-center people who are, well, Catholic. There are a lot of those people in American swing states. And yes, they do vote.
