Yesterday, the Ohio Senate voted to proceed with a move to reduce the state’s income tax to a 2.75 percent flat tax.
The move is a pet project for Koch Brothers-tied (or, rather, Koch Brother-tied, since there is only one of the brothers left alive) Americans for Prosperity Ohio.
But for anyone who has ever paid taxes in this state, it’s likely to be very appreciated across the board.
Now, could AFP Ohio please get Cincinnati to ditch its income tax which seriously disincentivizes employing Cincinnati residents? That thing is the same dumb stuff you expect in New York City…
