If it’s a day ending in “day,” we shouldn’t be surprised to Vice President JD Vance stirring the pot when it comes to some sort of edgy Israel-sour rightwing chat.
But today’s comments on Rogan are going to make the collective brains of the Republican Jewish Coalition, AIPAC, the Paul Singer network, Marco Rubio, and a bunch of Never Trumpers who lined up against Trump because they believe he’s too cozy with anti-Semites, explode.
Via Saagar Enjenti:
JD Vance on Joe Rogan Podcast about Epstein: “He clearly had connections to the highest levels of American intelligence, he clearly had connections to the highest levels of Israeli intelligence”
We’re not exactly in line with Tom Cotton on this overall subject, but this sounds an awful lot like straight-up parroting of Drop Site News. Which, um, is read and liked on foreign policy matters by Thomas Massie fans. But not by really any other Republicans.
And Vance should know, sitting across the Ohio River from Massie’s district, that Massie lost by ten points.
Is this smart positioning to win the 2028 primary? Or is it just more weird podcast edge lord bullshit that in hindsight is going to look extremely passé and just a touch anti-Semitic by the time the next nominating contest kicks off?
